Ball Float Steam Traps-pt61

Ball float steam traps works on density principle. Ball float traps senses the density difference between steam and condensate. Condensate entering the steam trap causes the ball float to rise and makes valve to lift off its seat and releases the condensate entering the steam trap. As the condensate in trap

Features of Pennant control valve
  1. Pennant ball float steam traps comes with air vent which allows the air to pass out of the steam trap.
  2. Float type steam traps also comes with Steam Lock Release (SLR) unit, which can be used to avoid steam locking/flooding condition inside steam trap.
  3. Can handle heavy condensate loads.
  4. Can be customized as per customer requirements.
  5. Float type steam traps can offer higher heat transfer rate, discharges condensate at steam temperature.
  6. Pennant ball float steam traps can easily handle water hammer and sudden fluctuations in pressure and flow rate.

INSTALLATION

  • Ball float steam trap-PT 61-Standard horizontal installation with flow from right to left.
  • Upon request we can provide our ball float traps with following installations as well
  1. Horizontal installation with flow from left to right PT61 (L-R) 
  2. Vertical installation with flow from   top to bottom PT61(V)

The Ball float steam trap should be installed below the drain point of the equipment in a position so that the float arm is in a horizontal plane and the float rises and falls vertically, with the flow direction as indicated on the body. The arrow on the nameplate should be pointing vertically upwards.
