Giving back to the Community

CARING

At Pennant, we believe in our responsibility towards the society we live in and operate in. We have set up a special CSR department that identifies social causes and conducts various CSR activities. The department works hard at making a difference, and in creating awareness about the same internally as well as externally.

The two main verticals are Education and Health. Apart from this, our dedicated CSR personnel are also engaged in smaller activities that can help us achieve our objective of helping society.

Education

We have adopted a school at Wadki (Saswad Road) and we have taken over their financial obligations and infrastructural requirements. We have been paying their electricity bill for the last 20 years, giving the children uninterrupted access to electricity.

We have constructed a classroom and furnished it with benches for the students to sit on and study. Uniforms have also been stitched and given to the students. The school has been equipped with 3 computers, giving the children access to technology and gradually preparing them for the future. Regular spoken English classes have been started with the same intention of preparing the students.

We organize blood donation camps at our plants twice a year. All employees (staff as well as factory workers) contribute in a big way to this activity. This activity is being conducted in association with Rotary Club, Pune and Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune.

We have received recognition and awards for the same from Ruby Hall Clinic as well as Rotary Club.
